Oct 18, 2002 · 21,002. You want to look at your DeltaT between ambient and water rather than absolute water temperature. Ideally up to +5 over ambient is great, up to +10 is okay but anything much over +10 is starting to indicate you are generating more heat than your loop can dissipate.

Apr 28, 2008 · Cambridge. No reason to run at 100%, unless necessary. I always find the balance where the pump runs at the highest RPM yet being quiet. Some D5 were quieter at 60% than at 50%. Best way to play around, in 5% intervals, and when you find the pump quiet, run some tests to check if the loop isn’t struggling for flow.

Jan 14, 2010 · Never had a leak not an issue. Second hand my loop cost very little. A pump, rad and block can be had for about £120. Water-cooling definitely has a much higher price of entry, but then comparing an AIO to a custom loop is a bit like comparing a console to a PC; far more flexible, upgradeable and capable.

At the moment my pump speed is set at 75% and my fans are controlled by CPU core temperature via a curve set in the bios. During GPU intensive games the gpu gets hot, the whole loop gets warm, but fans stay low due to CPU not getting hot.
