A Harnett County home sustained damage when a tree fell on its roof Tuesday as storms moved through central North Carolina.

Helping hands from Western North Carolina are traveling nearly 20 hours to provide comfort in the wake of Kerr County’s deadly flooding catastrophe.

Upon arrival, deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office found a juvenile male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
