The Florida federal judge who dismissed the special counsel classified documents case against Donald Trump failed to properly disclose her attendance at a 2023 banquet funded by a conservative law school.

Former federal judge Nancy Gertner and two legal scholars say rulings by Judge Aileen Cannon have raised “well-founded concerns that she may be biased against the Government’s case.”

Cannon, whose oversight of the Donald Trump classified documents case has garnered widespread criticism, has repeatedly violated a rule requiring that federal judges disclose their attendance at private seminars.

Their latest subject, to the surprise of absolutely nobody, is Judge Aileen Cannon, the former president*'s concierge judge down in Florida who currently is waiting for an appeals court to throw her ludicrous dismissal of the Pool Shed Papers case back in her teeth.
