A 7-year veteran of IMPD is facing domestic battery and strangulation charges after allegedly beating up and choking his girlfriend on Tuesday night.

An officer with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was recently arrested after he reportedly battered and restrained an individual. On Tuesday, the Whiteland Police Department took IMPD Officer Herman Means into custody on preliminary charges of domestic battery and strangulation.
