Grigor Dimitrov faces Alejandro Tabilo in his opening match at the Laver Cup - but his teammates want him to strip off if he wins in Berlin.

Grigor Dimitrov will replace Rafael Nadal and represent Team Europe in Berlin at Laver Cup 2024 after the latter announced his withdrawal from the tournament.

The Laver Cup was the only tournament Nadal had scheduled to play at for for the remainder of the season, so, at present there is no date set for his competitive return to the courts in an official tournament and as things stand, it’s more than feasible to think that this will not happen for the rest of the year.

Rafael Nadal withdrew from the upcoming Laver Cup in Berlin, not feeling ready to compete despite no physical issues. World no. 10 Grigor Dimitrov will replace the 24-time Major winner in Team Europe, entering his second action at this competition after Chicago 2018.

Laver Cup begins today, with Team Europe looking to reclaim the title from Team World for the first time since 2021
