Over a week after destructive wildfires erupted in the Los Angeles area, fire crews have made progress with containment and stopped the growth of the Eaton and Palisades fires.

Firefighters have made overnight progress battling back the deadly Los Angeles blazes. The Eaton Fire was 73% contained as of 7 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, up from 65% the day before. The Palisades Fire was 43% contained as of 7 a.
