Delhi Police Economic Offences Wing (EOW) arrested Deepak Gupta, a family member of Ashneer Grover, the former Managing Director and co-founder of BharatPe, in connection with allegations of misappropriating funds from the fintech company.

The arrest resulted after a complaint from Resilient Innovations Pvt Ltd (BharatPe) was registered at police station EOW.

Deepak Gupta, the former Head of Procurement, who is married to the sister of Madhuri Grover (wife of former BharatPe managing director Ashneer Grover), was taken into custody on the evening of September 19.
