Seven people are still "unaccounted for" in Yolo County's town of Esparto after several explosions at a fireworks warehouse resulted in a fire, officials said.

Seven people are missing after a warehouse holding fireworks caught fire and set off a series of massive explosions in Northern California late Tuesday.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Rescue crews were searching on Thursday for seven people still missing days after an explosion at a fireworks warehouse in Northern California shook a tiny farming community and forced the cancellation of nearby July Fourth celebrations.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta released a legal opinion stating that daily fantasy contests are illegal in the state "because they involve betting on sporting events."

Rob Bonta's legal opinion classified daily fantasy sports as illegal gambling, claiming that players betting against each other violates state law.

The California attorney general declared daily fantasy sports illegal in a long-awaited opinion released Thursday afternoon, though the decision was met with putback from Gov. Gavin Newsom as well as the sports betting industry.

Nine months after first proposing to increase the annual amount allocated to California's film and TV tax credit program, Gov. Gavin Newsom has signed it into law.
