I went into the final act of Arcane season 2 with a knot in my stomach. I'd waited three years for this finale, only for the first couple reaction posts I saw after the last episode dropped to be variations on the theme of 'what was that?

Arcane is based on the popular online game League of Legends, which was released by Riot Games in 2009. The Emmy Award-winning adaptation of the beloved game follows sisters Vi (voiced by Steinfeld) and Jinx (voiced by Purnell) as they find themselves on rival sides of a war between the utopian city Piltover and the undercity district Zaun.

Arcane Season 2 finale resolves series-long tensions and ends each character's story effectively. Season 2 covered the mending of Vi and Jinx's sibling relationship and introduced the Black Rose and Viktor's powers. Arcane kills off many characters in its finale, but hints at their survival.
