Central to the turnaround in Ajit Pawar's fortunes was the political consultancy handling his campaign - DesignBoxed, which has till now worked mostly with senior Congress leaders like DK Shivakumar, Ashok Gehlot, TS Singh Deo and a few Congress state units.

The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance secured decisive victories across Pune's 21 constituencies, with Ajit Pawar's NCP faction emerging as a strong contender in critical seats like Baramati and Hadapsar.

The NCP led by Sharad Pawar had the best strike rate during the Lok Sabha elections, winning eight of the 10 seats it contested with a vote share of 10.27 percent. In the Maharashtra assembly elections, the party won 13 seats, with a vote share of 11.67 percent.

Ajit Pawar won by 1,00,899 votes, while Yugendra received 80, 233 votes. In Maharashtra assembly polls, the Mahayuti alliance won over 225 seats out of the 288 seats in the state assembly
