Hamas disclosed a list of 34 hostages it’s willing to return to Israel in the first phase of a potential ceasefire in Gaza, which the US wants to achieve before President Joe Biden leaves office in two weeks.

A Gaza ceasefire deal endorsed by Israel and Hamas was delayed from going into effect Sunday after Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the militant group had yet to provide the names of the hostages it planned to release under the truce agreement.

The Israeli military says it “continues to attack” inside the Gaza Strip as a dispute with Hamas delayed the start of a planned ceasefire
