Residents of West Michigan are waking up to a fresh blanket of snow as lake-effect snow has begun to hit the region following Thanksgiving Day. According to WZZM13, snowfall estimates early in the morning indicated around 3-4 inches in several counties with expected accumulations to continue throughout the day.
Lake-effect snow has arrived in West Michigan
Although lake-effect snow will taper throughout the weekend, the below-freezing temperatures aren't going anywhere. Expect highs near 30° today with breezy winds leaving our wind chills in the upper teens. Saturday will be even colder, only topping out in the upper 20s but feeling like the low to mid-teens.
