Some southern Vermont towns could see more than a foot of snow, meteorologists predict, with widespread precipitation occurring by mid-morning on Thanksgiving Day. The storm is expected to move from south to north, according to Jessica Storm, a meteorologist with the weather service’s Burlington office.

A winter storm watch is in effect for parts of Vermont, as a storm moves into the area that could disrupt Thanksgiving travel plans.

Central and Southern Vermont could see between 4-8 inches of wet snow. Jackpot snowfall totals will likely be at the highest peaks of the southern Greens, including Stratton Mountain, Mount Snow, and Bromley Mountain, where totals could approach a foot of wet snow.
