Good afternoon, Chicago. Just over a week after a Thornton Township meeting broke out in brawl involving Supervisor Tiffany Henyard, anti-Henyard activists and others, township trustees met yesterday to discuss their budget proposal and fire two employees.

Thornton Township trustees vote to fire Kamal Woods and William Moore, two members of Supervisor Tiffany Henyard’s adminsitration.

CBS2 reports that a member of the public took Supervisor Tiffany Henyard to task and used an expletive, sparking a brawl at Tuesday's meeting.

Trustees in Dolton met without Mayor Tiffany Henyard Monday night, who is fighting to keep her seat in the upcoming election. Henyard faces stiff competition on the ballot amidst new money problems revealed Monday.

At the meeting, the board fired two township employees. As Jermont Terry reports, one of the workers the trustees fired was Kamal Woods, the boyfriend of Thornton Township Supervisor Tiffany Henyard.

Thornton Township Trustee Stephanie Wiedeman moved to fire Henyard’s boyfriend Kamal Woods, who was hired by Henyard to run the township’s youth program. This came after he was involved in a brawl during a meeting last week.

One of the workers the trustees fired was Kamal Woods, the boyfriend of Thornton Township Supervisor Tiffany Henyard. Woods ran the youth township program. Also fired was William Moore, also a Henyard ally.
