Twelve people have been arrested in Serbia in connection with a roof collapse early this month at a train station in the northern city of Novi Sad that killed 15 people and severely injured two.

After three weeks of protests demanding justice following the deadly collapse of part of the railway station in Serbia's second city, arrests have begun. Prosecutors ordered the questioning of 11 people in connection with the disaster at the recently-renovated facility in Novi Sad.

Skirmishes have erupted for a second day in the northern Serbian city of Novi Sad between police and opposition protesters demanding arrests over a deadly roof collapse at the city’s railway station earlier this month.
