New drone footage from Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, has surfaced, capturing the Shahi Jama Masjid, which has been at the center of recent violence. The mosque, a significant religious site, has sparked controversy due to its involvement in the ongoing unrest.

The deceased were identified as Naeem from Kot Kurvi, Bilal from Sarai Tareen, and Numan from Hayat Nagar and Ayan. They died due to bullet injuries sustained during the clashes, while the post-mortem of the fourth person will be done today.

The unrest, marked by stone-pelting and a police baton-charge, resulted in four fatalities and injuries to 21 individuals.

Sambhal: The Uttar Pradesh police on Monday arrested Sambhal's Jama Masjid committee chief Zafar Ali in connection with the violence over a court-ordered survey of the Mughal-era mosque. The police claimed that the detention of Zafar Ali was based on evidence.

The Mughal-era Shahi Jama Masjid in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal is under dispute. The petition filed from the Hindi side in the court claims that it was a temple which was razed by Babur to build a mosque.

Three individuals lost their lives, and at least 20 police officers sustained injuries during clashes in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday (24 November). Violence erupted near the Shahi Jama Masjid in Kot West as a court-ordered survey team arrived to inspect the mosque, officials said.

Prohibitory orders are in place near the Shahi Jama Masjid in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal after violence broke out on Sunday following an ASI survey of the Mughal-era mosque. The district administration issued orders barring entry of outsiders till November 30 in the area after three people were killed in the violence.

Sambhal has been on edge for the last few days after officials carried out a first survey of the Shahi Jama Masjid in Chandausi.
