Kolkata: CBI sleuths on Saturday started questioning another doctor, allegedly close to arrested former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital Sandip Ghosh, in connection with their probe into the rape and murder of a woman doctor at the medical establishment,

FIR lodged against Birupaksha Biswas and two other doctors for allegedly threatening medical college student across West Bengal.

As per CBI, Dr Birupaksha Biswas was seen at the hospital on August 9 – the day of the crime – despite no official engagement there.

The judge hearing the CBI appeal asked whether the agency found any credible lead to suggest that both Sandip and Abhijit were involved in the rape and murder of the junior doctor at the RG Kar

The junior doctors have been protesting for over a month, seeking improvements in healthcare and working conditions

The Bharatiya Janata Party held a protest in Nag Bazar, Kolkata against the handling of the RG Kar Medical College rape-murder case. They alleged mismanagement by the Police Commissioner and demanded justice for the victim.

The CBI has approached the court for permission to conduct narco analysis on former principal Sandip Ghosh and a polygraph test on ex-Tala PS OC Abhij

The CBI is contemplating conducting a narco analysis test on Sandip Ghosh, the arrested former principal of RG Kar hospital, in connection with the rape-murder of a woman doctor at the medical establishment,

The CBI, during its submission in the Sealdah court on Friday, said that Ghosh has not been cooperating with the investigators.

A special court in Kolkata on Friday extended till September 25 the CBI custody of the former principal of R.G. Kar Medical College & Hospital Sandip Ghosh and ex-Station House Officer (SHO)

The CBI on Friday told the Kolkata Court that more suspects have emerged during the investigation of Rape-murder case and their call records and other details are being investigated to certain their role in the crime.
