Afghanistan's ace spinner Rashid Khan is set to play his first Test match in more than three years after having been named in their squad for the upcoming two-Test series in Zimbabwe.Rashid had earlier taken a break from the longest format on medical advice because of a groin injury.

The 26-year-old missed Afghanistan's most recent Test matches on medical advice to heal a back injury for which he underwent surgery earlier this year.

Afghanistan's leg-spinner Rashid Khan is set to play his first Test since March 2021, as the Afghanistan Cricket Board announced his inclusion in the squad against Zimbabwe. The team includes seven uncapped players.

Afghanistan are scheduled to play two Test matches against Zimbabwe which will take place at Bulawayo from December 26.
