Prince William and Kate Middleton have taken another step toward taking over the reins of the monarchy. The Prince and Princess of Wales have been given the authority to issue Royal Warrants from next year.

Kate Middleton and Prince William helped start the France state visit to the U.K. by welcoming President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, before meeting up with King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Kate Middleton, alongside her husband Prince William, is playing a major role of welcoming France's President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron to the U.K. on July 8, greeting the First Couple at RAF Northolt and then taking part in a carriage procession with them.
