L iverpool legend John Aldridge has made a personal visit to Anfield to pay his respects to Diogo Jota and lay a floral tribute. Jota was killed in the early hours of Thursday morning (July 3), along with his brother, Andre Silva, after they were involved in a car crash.

Liverpool cancelled preseason tests for a small number of first-team players on Friday following the deaths of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva, with Mohamed Salah revealing his fears at returning to the club because “Diogo won’t be there” in a heartfelt tribute.

Diogo Jota and his brother, André Silva, died in a car crash in Spain on Thursday - a wake will be held in their Portuguese hometown later.
