Catherine, Princess of Wales revealed on Tuesday that she is in remission from cancer, following a visit to the London hospital where she was treated last year.

Britain's Princess of Wales says that her cancer is in remission, following a visit to hospital where she received treatment earlier this year.

"The princess’s presence on the wards was so encouraging and sent the message 'I went through this just like you, and you can overcome it, too'."

The Princess of Wales revealed Tuesday that her cancer is in remission, following treatment earlier this year at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London.

Now that she's in remission, the Princess of Wales has plenty to celebrate—including a new patronage with her husband. On Tuesday, the prince and princess were named as the new royal patrons of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, and Princess Kate mused on her new role in her Instagram post.

Princess Kate revealed this week that she had been a patient at the hospital last year during her cancer treatment.

"It’s such a weird disease, it stops you and makes you evaluate and review your life," a patient who met the princess said.

Princess Kate reportedly made a secret visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, where she previously underwent chemotherapy treatment, before Christmas. The Princess of Wales, 43, made her first solo public engagement in more than a year on January 14,
