Israel-Hezbollah Ceasefire: Israel's Cabinet Approves Netanyahu-Backed Deal
Israel's cabinet on Tuesday approved a ceasefire proposal between Israel and Hezbollah after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced he backed the deal. "If Hezbollah breaks the agreement and tries to rearm, we will attack," Netanyahu said on Tuesday ahead of the cabinet's decision. "For every violation, we will attack with might."
The Israeli military carried out air strikes in Lebanon Saturday against Hezbollah activities that it said "posed a threat", days into a fragile ceasefire between it and the Iran-backed group.
Thousands of families displaced by the conflict are travelling home hours after an Israel-Hezbollah ceasefire takes effect.
