Penn State’s Abdul Carter, Tyler Warren and Nick Dawkins were named finalists Tuesday for national college football awards.

Carter has also been named a finalist for the Lombardi Award and a semifinalist for the Walter Camp Player of the Year Award.

The Penn State junior defensive end on Wednesday was named a finalist for the Lombardi Award, given annually to college football’s best lineman on either side of the ball.
