The actors Randall Park, Jennifer Connelly and Claire Holt have signed up, as have an NBC News correspondent and a beauty influencer.

The 2024 TCS New York City Marathon kicked off on Staten Island on Sunday, with thousands of runners taking over the Big Apple. More than 50,000 runners participated in the race, according to New York Road Runners.

Actress Claire Holt will run the marathon supporting Team Maybelline, which has partnered with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). She ran New York in 2022 and is coming off a 3:44:14 finish at the Chicago Marathon on October 13.

New York Road Runners has released the top names, which includes several who are running to benefit a charity.

The 53rd edition of the New York City Marathon is taking place this Sunday with runners representing nearly 150 countries. The 26.2-mile journey will begin at 8 a.m. ET at the starting line in Staten Island.

The TCS New York City Marathon app added livestreaming in 2022. You can watch all four professional races (men’s and women’s, wheelchair and open divisions) in full, and get a look at runners passing through five locations along the course. The app also allows you to track runners in real time.

Matthew Choi, of Austin, was disqualified from the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon on Sunday and removed from the results, New York Road Runners said in a statement.

These celebs are putting their best foot forward. The 2024 TCS New York City Marathon takes place Nov. 3, with more than 50,000 runners set to hit the Big Apple and race more than 26 miles across all five boroughs.
