ESPN's Shams Charania reported Wednesday that forward Javonte Green agreed to a contract buyout with the New Orleans Pelicans and plans on signing with the Cavaliers after he clears waivers.

The Celtics will be seeing another familiar face on a conference rival in the coming days after Javonte Green agreed to a buyout with the New Orleans Pelicans. Shams Charania of ESPN.com reports that Green intends to sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers upon clear waivers later this week.

Green, 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, played in 50 games, including 18 starts, for New Orleans after signing a one-year prove-it deal this past summer. He averaged 5.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.1 steals while shooting 44.6% from the field and 35.2% from 3-point range. He ranked second on the Pelicans in both total steals (55) and blocks (30).
