Six years into his NBA career, Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro can finally call himself an All-Star. The 25-year-old officially received the nomination on Thursday once Ernie Johnson announced him as an Eastern Conference reserve.

The waiting game is over for Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro when it comes to the bid by the sixth-year veteran for his first All-Star berth. With East coaches charged with selecting at least four and no more than six guards to round out the conference’s All-Star roster,

On Thursday, Herro was announced as a selection for the NBA All-Star Game. This season, NBA All-Star Weekend is taking place in Chicago, with the game scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 16. As of Thursday, Herro was averaging 24.1 points on 47.4% shooting to go with 5.6 rebounds and 5.4 assists, all career highs.
