There has been speculation for months that former Cowboys star tight end Jason Witten could join the Dallas coaching staff, and Witten was even mentioned as a potential head coaching candidate for the Cowboys at one point.

The Dallas Cowboys will not be hiring Jason Witten as part of their 2025 coaching staff, according to owner Jerry Jones.  “Certainly, Jason is an outstanding coach,” Jones said of Witten, via ProFootballTalk.
