Aaditya Thackeray, the sitting MLA from Shiv Sena (UBT), has emerged victorious from the Worli Assembly Polls in the Maharashtra elections 2024.

Aaditya is eyeing a second consecutive term, having first won the Worli seat in 2019 by a margin of 67,427 votes. However, this time, he faced a strong challenge from Milind Deora.

The vote counting for the Worli Assembly constituency in Mumbai City in the Maharashtra Assembly Election begins at 8 AM today. At present, the seat is represented by Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and Uddhav Thackeray’s son Aaditya Thackeray.

Eknath Shinde faction of Shiv Sena has given tickets to Milind Deora and Uddhav Thackeray Sena has fielded Aaditya Thackeray from the Worli seat.

Thackeray is seeking a reelection from the seat.  Elections to the 288-member Maharashtra assembly were held on November 20.

As of 1:45 PM on Saturday, Aaditya Thackeray held a lead of 6,120 votes over Milind Deora, with 12 of the 17 counting rounds completed. Deora, a former Congress MP who joined Shinde’s Shiv Sena earlier this year, had briefly overtaken Thackeray during the initial rounds of counting before the latter regained his advantage.
