A Southwest Airlines plane was struck by a bullet while preparing to take off from Dallas Love Field Airport on Friday evening.

There were no injuries after a Southwest flight carrying passengers was struck by gunfire on the tarmac of Dallas Love Field Friday night, authorities said.

Southwest said a bullet struck the right side of the aircraft while the crew was preparing for departure for Indianapolis. The plane has since been removed from service.
