The U.S. Department of Justice's Antitrust Division said Thursday that it is closing its investigation and will not move to block the deal, originally announced in May 2024, in which T-Mobile ( NASDAQ: TMUS) plans to acquire UScellular’s wireless operations, including its customers, retail stores, and 30% of its spectrum assets.
T-Mobile said in a July 8 letter to the FCC that it would end its DEI-related policies "not just in name, but in substance."
