Two Britons are reported to be among dozens of people feared missing after a tourist yacht was “hit by a wave” and sank off the coast of Egypt on Monday. At least 16 people are feared missing despite a massive rescue operation saving 28 people from the vessel, according to the governor of the Red Sea region, Amr Hanafi.

Egyptian authorities said more than a dozen people, mostly foreigners, were still missing after a tourist yacht capsized in the Red Sea on Monday, with 28 others rescued.

An engaged British couple are among the seven people still missing from the Red Sea yacht disaster. Tarig Sinada, 49, and his fiancée, Jenny Cawson, 36, were enjoying a reef safari holiday off Egypt when the Sea Story vessel was capsized by a “huge wave”.
