Dickies clothing brand is moving from Texas to California, marking a rare corporate switch after several companies relocated from California to the southern state. The Los Angeles Times reported that the company will be moving from Fort Worth to Costa Mesa to share a space with its sister brand Vans.

The headquarters of Texas workwear brand Dickies is relocating from Fort Worth to the Los Angeles metro area. VF Corporation, which acquired Dickies in 2017, plans to move Dickies to an existing brand campus the company maintains in Costa Mesa,

Dickies, the iconic workwear manufacturer founded in Fort Worth more than century ago, is moving headquarters to California. The move will impact about 120 employees in Fort Worth, but Dickies will still maintain a “strong employment presence” here.

Workwear brand’s recent Fort Worth office investment was all for nothing, as its parent company, VF Corp., is moving it to California.

The move represents a real estate consolidation by VF Corp., which owns Dickies and Vans as well as outdoorsy brands the North Face, Timberland and JanSport.

Dickies, one of the best known workwear brands in the country, will move its headquarters from Fort Worth to Costa Mesa to be with street wear icon Vans, its sister brand.
