While there was a huge emphasis on how PS5 Pro will improve traditional gaming experiences, Mark Cerny never once mentioned PSVR2 during his presentation today. That’s perhaps to be expected from a platform holder that feels like it’s largely washed its hands of the product, with no first-party projects currently announced.

An upcoming Sony State of Play will feature information about over twenty games for the PS5 and PSVR, and is scheduled just ahead of TGS204.

That’s according to architect Mark Cerny, who told Cnet that the $700 console’s improved GPU power will allow for higher-resolution games on PSVR 2. Eventually, PS5 Pro’s AI-assisted upscaling mode, called PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, will also work on PSVR 2 games in the future, according to Cerny.
