Republicans currently hold seven seats, while Democrats hold two. This year, all of the state's U.S. House races featured a Libertarian candidate running for office for the first time since at least 2012.

In 2024, now state Rep. Victoria Garcia Wilburn is running for reelection and faces Republican Patricia Bratton from Carmel.
Republican Jim Banks has been considered the front-runner in the race, which also includes Democrat Valerie McCray and Libertarian Andrew Horning.

Incumbents Parks-Reese and Suzanne Thomas, as well as newcomer Schooley are endorsed by the Hamilton Southeastern Education Association. The teacher’s union is generally aligned with Democrats, though Thomas is a self-described conservative who has voted with the majority on several issues.
The first polls closed at 6 p.m. ET in Indiana and Kentucky, with some results shortly thereafter--but both states span two time zones, so we don’t expect the first statewide race calls until after 7 p.
