A familiar problem plagued the Florida Panthers once again on Thursday night, and it cost them dearly. Florida once again struggled to stay out of the penalty box, this time doing it against a Detroit Red Wings team that has been on fire when given a man advantage.

Dylan Larkin scored two goals and the surging Detroit Red Wings beat the Florida Panthers 5-2 on Thursday night. Larkin, Jonatan Berggren and Patrick Kane had power-play goals for Detroit, which also got a goal from Marco Kasper.

With the Panthers getting into penalty trouble in the second period, the Red Wings made them pay a second time when Dylan Larkin went to the crease and re-directed a tape-to-tape centering feed from Patrick Kane through traffic into the cage to make it 2-1 at 7:52.
