Vanderbilt faces Tennessee at FirstBank Stadium on Saturday (11 a.m. CT, ABC) and with the chance to eliminate the Vols from the College Football Playoff. Some of the things the Commodores did against LSU could work against the Vols — but Vanderbilt will first have to return to the things it does well, too.

Vanderbilt football has beaten Alabama this season. The Vols lost to Georgia and a 6-5 Arkansas team. The Commodores (6-5, 3-4 SEC) could play spoiler just as Oklahoma and Florida did.

The LSU Tigers (6-4, 3-3) will square off against Diego Pavia and the Vanderbilt Commodores on Saturday night with kickoff set for 6:55 p.m. CT in Death Valley.
