BLACKFOOT, Idaho — A teen from Twin Falls has been arrested and charged with failure to report a death after police said she left a deceased baby girl in an Idaho Safe Haven Baby Box in Blackfoot, the only one in the state of Idaho.

Authorities have identified the woman accused of placing a dead infant inside the Safe Haven Baby Box at Grove Creek Medical in Blackfoot. Angel N. Newberry, 18, of Twin Falls, was recently arrested in Twin Falls on a felony Bingham County arrest warrant for failing to report a death to law enforcement officials

An Idaho woman, 18, was arrested over accusations that she dropped a deceased baby in a Safe Haven Baby Box at a hospital with the placenta still attached.

An Idaho teenager has been arrested over a month after a dead baby was found in the Safe Haven Baby Box at the Grove Creek Medical Center in Blackfoot, police said.

Newberry, was arrested after a deceased newborn was discovered in a Safe Haven Baby Box at the Grove Creek Medical Center in Blackfoot, Idaho. The arrest comes over a month after the infant was found on October 13.
