TTD blacklists AR Dairy for supplying adulterated ghee, vows strict action; plans in-house lab for quality control.

Hyderabad: A day after ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders released reports from the NDDB's CALF lab on adulteration, on Friday, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) executive officer J Syamala Rao confirmed the presence of animal fat in the cow ghee supplied by AR Dairy, a Tamil Nadu-based dairy.

Chennai: Tamil Nadu -based A R Dairy Food Private Limited, which is at the centre of a raging row over allegations that the ghee it supplied to prepare famous Tirupati laddu contained animal fat, on Friday dismissed the accusations of adulteration levelled against it.

Reacting to the Tirupati laddu issue, former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy stated that the TDP is "politicising religious matters."

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu squarely blamed the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government for the alleged adulteration.

The TDP government in Andhra Pradesh revealed lab analysis showing foreign fats in cow ghee used for Tirupati laddu prasadam during the YSRC's tenure. This sparked a controversy over ghee purity, highlighting the importance of ensuring quality in religious contexts.
