India spinner Ravi Ashwin has declared he has “figured out” Australian star Steve Smith over the years. The pair have been rivals in the Test arena since 2013, with Smith notably dismissed twice by Ashwin early in the 2020-21 series.

Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has backed batsman Steve Smith to have a good series against India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy starting from November 22 at Perth. Smith scored 44 in the first ODI against Pakistan, an innings that Maxwell saw and felt would hold Smith in good stead ahead of the series.
