Union New & Renewable Energy Minister Pralhad Joshi on Tuesday said a total investment of Rs 32.45 lakh crore has been committed in renewable energy projects till 2030. This assumes significance in view of India’s ambitious target of over 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.

Union New & Renewable Energy Minister Pralhad Joshi on Monday urged investors to invest in India saying that Rs 32.45 lakh crore finance in green projects has been committed by banks and financial institutions.

In a significant development for India's renewable energy sector, major banks and financial institutions have committed to invest approximately USD 386 billion in renewable energy projects by 2030, according to Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) Pralhad Joshi.

The Minister of New and Renewable Energy, Pralhad Joshi on Monday said that the government has achieved renewable energy targets in 2021-22, much ahead of the targeted year of 2030. The Union Minister further added that the country has been successful in reducing the emissions intensity of its GDP
