Met EEireann has said that the worst of Storm Eowyn has passed, but has warned of more strong winds, cold conditions, and possible sleet and snow showers to follow

The number of homes and busineses without electricity has increased to 715,000 as Storm Eowyn continues to rage across Ireland.

Ireland is still recovering from destructive Storm Eowyn, but more severe weather is on the way, with heavy snowfall expected to follow. Met Eireann has issued a new snow weather warning as the powerful Atlantic system continues to bring dangerous conditions.

While the country deals with the aftermath of Storm Éowyn, some parts of Ireland will continue to battle with poor weather conditions as a Snow-Ice alert has been issued

Met Eireann has issued a total of eight Red Weather Warnings for all of Ireland that come into effect at various times from tonight through Friday. Red Weather Warnings are extremely dangerous and destructive and pose a danger to life.

Storm Eowyn has left its mark on Ireland and brought plenty of damage to Dublin overnight. The red weather warning has now passed for Dublin, with an orange warning currently in place until 12 noon. That will then downgrade to a yellow warning as strong gusts remain.

Storm Éowyn has the "potential to be very destructive," Met Éireann said while issuing its Status Red weather warnings. Check here for the Status Red, Status Yellow, and Status Orange weather warnings coming into effect for Ireland this week.

As of 9am on Thursday, there are eight Red Weather Warnings in place from Met Eireann. There is also a Status Orange Wind Warning for all of Ireland from midnight until 4pm tomorrow. The Status Red Weather Warnings are as follows.
