A Georgia lottery player tried their luck at Powerball and won a big prize. Someone won $50,000 after matching four of five numbers and the Powerball in the drawing Saturday, Feb. 15, narrowly missing the estimated $172 million jackpot, the Georgia Lottery said.

The Powerball jackpot rose to $172 million for Saturday’s drawing after no one won the top prize on Wednesday. If someone matches all six numbers, they can choose a one-time cash payment of $79.

The Powerball jackpot for Saturday’s lottery drawing has increased to an estimated $172 million with a cash option of $79.4 million. The winning numbers were: 3, 16, 45, 54 and 56. The Powerball drawn was 12 with a Power Play of 2x.
