The Red Sox announced their complete 2025 coaching staff Friday, including promoting José Flores to first base/infield instructor.

The Red Sox have officially announced their major league coaching staff for 2025, confirming the addition of four newcomers along with an expanded role for longtime stalwart Jason Varitek. Varitek will retain his title of game planning coordinator but will transition from the club’s catching coach to become Boston’s run prevention coach.

The Boston Red Sox let go of multiple coaches at the end of the 2024 season which ended with an 81-81 record and third-place finish in the American League East.On Friday, the team officially announced who would be filling those roles and who would be taking on new responsibilities.
