Jimmy Butler has gotten his wish. He’s being traded out of Miami. The Heat and the Golden State Warriors have agreed on a deal that sends Butler to the Bay Area, a person with knowledge of the talks said Wednesday.

In an effort to turn their disappointing season around, the Golden State Warriors traded for Jimmy Butler. They sent Dennis Schroder, Kyle Anderson, Lindy Waters III, and Andrew Wiggins to multiple different teams to add their second piece alongside Stephen Curry on offense and Draymond Green on defense.

The Golden State Warriors have acquired Jimmy Butler in a blockbuster trade with the Heat. What it means financially and moving forward ahead of the NBA trade deadline.

Kevin Durant wasn’t sold on a Golden State return. According to ESPN, the Suns star told Steph Curry that another Warriors run didn’t “feel right” and that it “wasn’t the time” to pair back up, adding that Durant “was happy in Phoenix and wasn’t looking to play elsewhere.
