A LEGOLAND Florida spokesperson said it is making “operational changes” at its theme park that resulted in mass layoffs reported to the state of Florida last week, including more than 100 performers.

Legoland Florida plans to lay off 234 workers, primarily performers, in an effort to be more competitive in central Florida’s thriving theme park market.

The staff reduction at the Carlsbad park comes as Legoland looks to restructure how it produces and staffs shows throughout the year.
