Nearly 150 firefighters and EMS personnel were deployed to battle a brush fire in the Inwood section of Manhattan on Wednesday.

A brush fire sparked in Inwood Wednesday afternoon, according to officials. The fire broke out in Inwood State Park near Seaman Ave and West 207th Street. The fire was reported at around 2:40 p.m., according to the FDNY.

Two brush fires erupted in Inwood Hill Park on Wednesday. The first, near Seaman Avenue and West 207th Street, was reported at about 2:40 p.m. and was under control at 4:07 p.m., an FDNY spokesperson confirmed.

Firefighters managed to contain a large brush fire in Brooklyn's Prospect Park Friday night, officials with the New York City Fire Department said. A passerby reported the fire in Prospect Park at about 6:40 p.
