President-elect Donald Trump's picks for U.N .ambassador, EPA administrator and agriculture secretary reported the threats on Wednesday.

The Trump transition team and the FBI said on Wednesday that several of President-elect Donald Trump's nominees and appointees were targeted with bomb threats and swatting incidents on Wednesday.

A Trump transition team spokeswoman said law enforcement officials had “acted quickly to ensure the safety of those who were targeted.”

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has indicated that a bomb threat targeting former Congressman Matt Gaetz could be linked to threats against people tapped for President-elect Donald Trump’s new administration.

Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, R-Schuylerville, received news of a bomb threat to her residence as she, her husband and their three-year-old were driving home to Saratoga County for Thanksgiving, according to a statement from Stefanik’s office.

Among those targeted were New York Rep. Elise Stefanik, Trump’s pick to serve as the next ambassador to the United Nations; Matt Gaetz, Trump’s initial pick to serve as attorney general; and former New York congressman Lee Zeldin.

The threats were directed at several Trump nominees and appointees, his transition team said. NBC News reported that Trump and Vance were not among the targets.

Lori Chavez-DeRemer was among other members of president-elect Donald Trump's cabinet nominees to receive pipe bomb threats.

The FBI said the incidents were aimed at numerous people tapped for roles in the incoming administration of president-elect Donald Trump.
