In a peculiar turn of events, Bhim Singh, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, reunited with his family nearly three decades after being abducted and forced to work as bonded labour for several years.

Leelavati, however, is still convinced that he is her son. “He is my son. I just want police to tell this to everyone around and give him back to me,” she said.

Both times, he allegedly made the same claim -- that he was kidnapped in his childhood and was forced to live as a bonded labourer in Rajasthan.
