According to the Election Commission results, Anura Kumara Dissanayake’s National People’s Power Party has won at least 123 of the 225 seats in Parliament.

President Anura casted his ballot and showed confidence about his coalition winning with strong majority against the establishment parties.

Sri Lanka’s newly elected Marxist-leaning President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has secured a parliamentary majority, official election results confirmed on Friday, reported AP. The victory grants Dissanayake’s party a strong mandate to push forward his economic revival agenda.
